What we are working on now?

Currently we are working on:

adding spellchecking for command parameters and a mathematical mode,
adding wizards for table and figure creation,
improving thesaurus data to reduce the number of suggestions,
providing hints for a number of small packages,
providing more hints for a memoir package,
providing more templates,
writing a detailed technical documentation,
adding support for Concurrent Versions System (CVS),
adding import from other editors,
adding a built-in PDF viewer,
adding a script language to make more complex macros,
adding a built-in BibTeX entries editor,
adding support for Unicode and UTF-7, UTF-8, UTF-16, UTF-32 encodings,
a number of smaller things.

What has been done recently?

2008–04–15

New release of LEd with support for MiKTeX 2.7 will be published within a month.

Today we publish some patches to the current version enabling the build-in DVI viewer for MiKTeX 2.7 and fixing the problems of some users for running this viewer when working with MiKTeX 2.6. Both can be obtained at download page.

2007–11–05

Complete Italian translation by Dario Neri is available at download page.

2007–07–06

LEd version 0.51 beta build 6200 is available at the download page.

2006–11–05

The patch solving the DVI viewer problem under MiKTeX 2.5 is available at the download page. The 0.5 beta release will be ready in about two weeks.

2006–08–18

LEd version 0.46 beta works well with MiKTeX 2.5 with one exception: the biuld-in DVI viewer is incompatibile with MiKTeX 2.5. We are working to correct this, so please be patient. New LEd version will be published when this problem will be solved.

how to start—describes step-by-step how to install TeX and LEd, and how to configure them,
links on TeX/LaTeX and other links —presents many useful links, not just LaTeX-related links.

LEd homepage was modified (a reference to the spellchecker work was added).
